Skates and plates…I’m totally lost. Advice please!
I’m entering my third season. I’m a blocker. This year, I’m focusing on agility and quick stops.
Boots:
I’ve been skating on Riedell 265s. I really love them, they fit me perfectly. My only issue with them is that, transitioning from hockey skates, I feel like I’m really sitting back on my heels and would love a skate that puts a little more weight on the balls of my feet.
I was considering Riedell Minx. Are they worth it? Have you tried them?
Plates:
I have Powerdyne Nylon plates (I think). I’ve been told that I really need to upgrade to aluminum. I want to go light-weight, but the reviews of the lighter weight aluminum plates seem to be conflicting. What have you tried and liked?

Revenge all the way. Most amazing plates in existence. I have heard that Antiks are very similar to hockey skates. Also, if you get your plates mounted forward the weight will be transferred to the front of your skate.
